What's new in Domestique Hub 1.1: gym plans, custom workouts and pack dynamics
Domestique Hub 1.1 is the biggest update since launch. It adds a gym to an app that was built for the road, lets you write your own smart-trainer sessions, keeps a record of who did the work on a group ride, and reworks the live ride screen around the road you are actually on.
Gym plans for the sport you actually do
Nobody in a club like ours lifts for its own sake. They run, ride, swim or race, and the gym is what makes that better or stops it hurting. So the new gym plans start from the sport: a runner's week is built around single-leg work, the calf and the hip; a cyclist's around the posterior chain and the upper back; a swimmer's around pulling and the rotator cuff. Plans run in four-week blocks and bend to the equipment in your room. How the gym plans work.
A session player you can read from the rack
The gym session itself is a player: big numbers, supersets drawn on one page, holds that start and count themselves, and ten warm-up and stretch routines you can follow as a single video. A finished session is an activity like a ride, with your strap's heart rate, and it can go to Strava. Inside the session player.
Your own smart-trainer sessions
Every card in the indoor library now has Copy & edit, and New session starts from nothing. What you save rides exactly like a built-in session, driving the trainer in erg mode off your FTP. Building a custom workout, and riding real climbs in 3D.
Pack dynamics on every group ride
During a group ride the peloton view places each rider on the pack's own axis in metres, and a tile counts how long each rider has spent on the front. Afterwards the whole ride is kept, so "you sat on the front for half of it" is something you can look up. How pack dynamics works.
A live ride screen that follows the road
Climbs and descents appear as you reach them, the course knows which way you are riding it, the camera and the radar stay with you on every page, and every data field is fed from a real source. What changed on the ride screen.
Still free. Every feature, for every member of the club. Version 1.1 is on the App Store now, and the Android update is on its way to Google Play.
